Introducing Anyset AI: A New Company for Construction’s Next Chapter

Anyset AI is a new company from the team behind Airtasks—built around a broader vision for AI-native, interoperable software for construction. Here’s what we’re building, and why we’re starting fresh.

Today we’re introducing Anyset AI: a new company building data-driven, AI-native software for construction teams. Anyset is founded by the same team behind Airtasks, and it’s the next chapter of a journey we’ve been on for years—bringing better software to one of the world’s most complex industries.

Our Journey in Construction Tech

Like many founders, we started by going deep on a single, specific problem. With Airtasks, we built a focused tool to tackle one challenge construction teams face every day. Along the way, we learned something bigger: the real opportunity wasn’t one feature or one workflow—it was a platform built around AI, VDC coordination, and document controls, designed to work across the tools teams already use.

That insight is what led to Anyset.

Why a New Company

A vision this broad deserves a clean foundation. Anyset AI is a new company, with a new product, a new architecture, and a new brand—built from day one around the way modern construction teams actually work: across formats, across ecosystems, and increasingly with AI in the loop.

The name Anyset reflects that intent. The platform is designed to be neutral and interoperable—not tied to any single format, system, or standard. That flexibility is core to how we believe software should support construction teams: open, modular, and adaptable.

What Carries Forward

While Anyset is a new company, what carries forward is what matters most: the team, the relationships, and the hard-won understanding of construction workflows that comes from years in the field. Everything we build is still grounded in real-world construction practice, and always will be.

What’s Next

This is the start of a new chapter—for us, and for the platform we’re building. We’re excited to introduce more of Anyset over the coming months, and to keep building software that earns its place on construction teams every day.

Thanks for being part of the journey.

What Anyset Looks Like in Practice

Anyset is built around two products that share a single data foundation. Anyset Specs reads the project specification book and extracts every submittal, every closeout deliverable, every inspection and test plan, and every code-required certification into structured logs. Anyset Closeout runs the workflow from there—collecting documents from subcontractors through a portal with AI follow-up agents, reviewing submissions for completeness, assembling hyperlinked turnover manuals, and delivering a searchable owner-facing portal that lives for the life of the building.

The reason we built the platform this way is that closeout and submittal management have always been treated as separate workflows by separate people at separate times. A submittal log gets built during preconstruction. A closeout log gets thrown together in the last few weeks of the project. The two have to be reconciled by hand, and the deliverables that should have been collected during construction get chased after the trades have already demobilized. Anyset removes the seam: both logs come from the same specifications, share the same item identifiers, and stay in sync through the life of the project. The result is a closeout process that runs in the background of construction instead of cannibalizing the final stretch.

How Anyset Fits with Existing Construction Tech

Anyset is not a replacement for project management platforms. It connects natively to Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, and Trimble ProjectSight, pulling submittals, RFIs, drawings, photos, and documents into a single workspace and—when configured—writing relevant updates back. Most of our customers continue to run their projects in Procore or Autodesk and add Anyset as the layer that handles the parts those platforms don’t address well: structured extraction from the spec book itself, AI-driven document collection from subs, automated assembly of polished turnover manuals, and long-lived owner-facing handover portals.

That positioning is deliberate. Construction tech has matured to the point that GCs already have project management tooling they’ve invested years in configuring. The opportunity isn’t to replace that tooling—it’s to fill the gaps that have stubbornly remained manual: the moment when a 1,200-page spec book has to be turned into a structured submittal log, the months-long process of chasing subs for closeout documents, and the final assembly of an artifact the owner can actually use after the project ends.

What We’re Building Next

The roadmap for Anyset is broader than any single product. We’re working on deeper VDC and BIM coordination, richer AI agents for cross-team communication, integrations with quality management and field execution platforms, and tools that let owners actively manage their assets from the handover portal long after substantial completion. The common thread is the same as it’s always been: software that respects how construction teams actually work, that fits into existing workflows, and that produces visible improvements within days—not after a six-month implementation.

If you’re working on closeout, submittal management, or owner handover and you want to see what we’re building, the easiest place to start is a demo. For a deeper look at the product set today, see Anyset Specs and Anyset Closeout. For the broader vision and where we go from here, we’ll keep publishing updates on this blog and through our newsletter.

We’re grateful to the contractors, owners, and partners who’ve shaped this work so far. Anyset exists because of conversations with people who refused to accept that closeout had to be painful and submittal logs had to be built by hand. That’s the work we’re continuing—and we’re glad you’re here for it.
